INJECTION MOULDING

Plastic injection moulding is a manufacturing technique where molten thermoplastic material is injected into a mould, then cooled and hardened to produce a finished product. This method is widely used in various sectors, including automotive, consumer goods, medical, and electronics, to create high-quality parts of varying complexity and sizes.

The Injection Moulding Process

Injection moulding for a customized manufacturing project is a detailed and complex procedure, distinct from conventional techniques like CNC machining and prototyping. The process begins with creating a mould of the component using CAD design. CNC machining then produces a physical model, usually from steel or aluminum. Once the metal mould is created, it is placed into the injection moulding machine and prepared for production. The metal mould is typically constructed in halves to allow easy removal of the finished object once the material has cooled.
